Nintendo Book Tag

This tag was created by Samantha over on her channel Novel and Nonsense. Click Here to visit her channel, which I would highly recommend doing. I had to do this tag because I absolutely love Nintendo.

NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) A Classic you want to read

Villette by Charlotte Bronte. I really want to read all of the books by the Bronte sisters.

SNES (Super Nintendo): A Sequel you liked more than the 1st

Golden Son by Pierce Brown. The first book, Red Rising, is great but book 2 is even better and book 3 just blows everything out of the water – so good!

Nintendo 64: A book that revolutionized the way you look at the world
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. It really opened my eyes to how people have perceptions and assumptions of each other without having all of the facts, and the importance of moral education.

Gamecube: A popular book that did not go over so well with you

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Don’t know what it was, but I just couldn’t get into this book. I ended up not finishing it.

Wii: A new favorite book
The Bone Queen by Alison Croggon. I recently finished this and it was so good! I absolutely loved the original Pellinor series and it was just so amazing to be back in this world.

Nintendo Power: Favorite Graphic novel series or a series you want to start
I quite want to start the Amulet graphic novel series – other than that any suggestions for good graphic novels would very much be appreciated.

Super Mario: A Character that you’d love to squish like a Goomba
Without a doubt, Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. Or Kyle Haven from The Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb – he is not a nice man!

Zelda: A newer fantasy that you consider to be a modern classic
The Gentlemen Bastard sequences by Scott Lynch. The series isn’t finished yet but the first three books are absolutely incredible! I am so excited for the release of the fourth book this year.

Samas-Aran: Favorite Sci-fi novel or one you want to read

A favourite of mine is Fuzzy Nations by John Scalzi – it is so good!! Scalzi’s Old Man War series is also really good! I want to read Dune by Frank Herbert.

Pokemon: Book editions that you want to collect
I love the Penguin English library editions – they are stunning. I have about eight at the moment.

Donkey Kong: A book with original characters

I think I’m going to have to go with War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, because the cast of characters are just so well-written and just a pleasure to read about.

Nintendo Fandom: Favorite Nintendo game(s) or game you really want
I love the Pokemon and Zelda series of games, and am very excited for the release of Hyrule Warriors: Legends for 3DS! Two of my favourite games are Pokemon Soul Silver and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Any suggestions for video games? What’s your favourite Nintendo game?

See you next time.

Pippa

  1. This is such a fun tag and unique way to talk about books (although I must have missed that video). Although my Nintendo playing is almost exclusively Pokemon games, I might have to do this one myself! Thanks for sharing.
