Hi guys, I hope you are all well. So I was recently looking through my list of anticipated releases and I realised that the cover art for this years books is amazing. There are a lot of books being released this years with great covers so I thought why not do a cover appreciation post for all of them. I’ve tried to credit each artist for the cover design but for one of the books I couldn’t seem to find anyone to credit. I know we’re only a few months into the year right now but there are already so many great book covers and I wanted to show some appreciation to these amazing cover artists. Let’s get started.
-
The Shadow of the Gods / John Gwynne / Illustration by Marcus Whinney, design by Bekki Guyatt
-
The Veiled Throne / Ken Liu / Cover Illustration by Sam Weber
-
Pawn’s Gambit / Rob J. Hayes / Cover art: Felix Ortiz, cover design: STK.Kreations
-
The Witness for the Dead / Katherine Addison
-
A Desolation Called Peace / Arkady Martine / Cover art by Jaime Jones

A Master of Djinn / P. Djèlí Clark / Cover art by Stephan Martiniere

That’s it for today. All of these covers are amazing and I want to give a big shout out to all the fantastic artists who work on book covers. I am definitely more likely to pick up a book if it has an eye catching cover – are you guys the same? Let’s chat in the comments. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.
