Hi guys, I hope you are all well. I’ve been blogging for almost five years now and I thought it was about time to do another facts about me. I don’t really like talking about myself, to be perfectly honest, but it’s good to step out of your comfort zone sometimes. In personal news, I started my new job last month and it’s going pretty well so far, although it did mean I missed a couple of blog posts. I’m planning to write and schedule a load of posts in advance since I get quite tired during the work week. Anyway let’s get started.
-
I am currently studying for a Veterinary Care Assistant qualification from the College of Animal Welfare, with the possible plan to then go onto training to become a veterinary nurse. As of January 2021 I will be working as a veterinary care assistant at the practice I completed my volunteer work placement at.

I struggle with anxiety, depression and self harm. It’s definitely better than it was a few years ago but I do still struggle at times. I haven’t self harmed for over a year though, I think. I also struggle with low self-esteem and am on the autistic spectrum.
-
I love video games. Some of my favourites include Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Okami, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Witcher 3, Tomb Raider and the Ghost of Tsushima.
-
I am an organised person. I need to know plans ahead of time and like to take time over work and assignments. Basically I am not a spontaneous person. I also love organising stuff like my room and books.

I’ve been blogging now for almost five years. While I generally love having this blog, it can be a bit of a struggle with my self esteem issues. I sometimes wonder whether my blog is good enough and whether people actually enjoy my posts… as well as not interacting with others online as much as I want because I feel awkward and nervous. You think after over four years I’d be getting better at putting myself out there but it hasn’t happened yet.
-
I’m quite a shy, quiet person, especially when I first meet someone but once I get to know you I can be pretty talkative.
-
I have been very lucky to be able to travel a fair bit over the years. Places I’ve been include Italy (Rome, Siena, Venice etc.), Hong Kong (once and I’d love to go back), New York, Czech Republic (Prague) and France quite a few times.
-
I would love to travel to more places in America, Japan, South Korea, China, New Zealand and Croatia.
-
I am dyslexic with elements of dyspraxia. My short term memory isn’t great, my motor co-ordination is below average, my handwriting is slower than my peers because it takes longer for me to get things from my brain to writing it down and I have sensory difficulties – these are a few ways it affects me.
-
I am claustrophobic, meaning I hate small or confined spaces, and I’m also a little scared of heights. I don’t know if I would say I have arachnophobia, but I do pretty much hate spiders so maybe… also not a fan of clowns.
-
I don’t drink, and never really have. The alcoholic drinks I’ve tried I haven’t particularly liked and I hate the idea of being drunk since I like to be in control.
-
I love singing and have since I was a teenager. I’m not good at singing in front of anyone other than my close family, but I do love it. I think I sing most days, to be honest.
-
I have quite an eclectic taste in music, although right now I’m mostly listening to pop and k-pop. Some of my favourite artists right now include Dua Lipa, Rosalia, Lexie Liu, Billie Eilish, G-idle and Chungha.
-
I didn’t read much when I was younger but since my late teens/early twenties I’ve been reading a lot more. My favourite authors right now include John Gwynne, M. L. Wang, Brian McClellan, Andrea Stewart and Ken Liu.
-
Along side reading and video games, my other interests/hobbies include spending time with my dogs, baking, history, bullet journaling and I’ve recently gotten back into paint by numbers.
That’s it for today. I hope you guys are having an alright year so far – it’s pretty worrying over in the UK right now, especially since I go into work. You can’t really work from home when you work at the vets – I’m being as safe and careful as I can though. How’re you guys doing? Let’s chat in the comments. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.

Great post! I struggle with depression, as well (and other things), but I’m glad you’re doing and feeling better! Just remember it’s okay to not be or feel okay sometimes and don’t beat yourself up about it.
