So the fourth book in this series recently got a title reveal, so I thought it was the perfect time to share five reasons to start this series. Back in April I binged through the first three books because I was enjoying them so much.
-
It is a fantastic dual perspective story, following Talyn Dynan and Shadowhawk. Talyn, a Dumnorix princess and trained warrior, is sent on a mission away from her home to the mysterious land of the winged folk, Mithranar. Her mission is to protect the third prince of the winged folk, Prince Cuinn. Shadowhawk is a vigilante and desperate to help the human population of Mithranar, who the winged folk see as inferior beings.

The world is vividly written and you will become immersed in it from very early on. Throughout the three books you will get to explore more of the world and I can’t wait to see more in the fourth book.
-
The characters are so well written. The two main protagonists are awesome, I particularly love how Talyn is written – she lost her partner before the start of the book and she is still trying to recover from it. I love that we see her progress through the three books, in terms of recovering her confidence in herself. The secondary characters are also wonderfully written and there are so many great characters.
-
The plot is compelling throughout and I love how it progressed through the three books. There are some great twists dotted throughout and the pacing is consistently good.
-
The fourth book is set to be released later this year (September, I think) so now is the perfect time to check this series out.

I’ve heard good things about this series and I want to read more self-published books, so this sounds like a series I’ll have to try soon!
