Eleven years after the release of the last book in this series, Viper’s Daughter returns the reader to prehistoric Europe alongside Torak, Wolf and Renn. Two summers have passed since the events of Ghost Hunter, but things are about to change for Torak, Wolf and Renn.
I had thought that the sixth book was the last in this series, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear about this sequel. I loved this series when I was younger and it is still one of my favourites. It was great to be back with these characters and this world. One of my favourite things about these book is the world, since I haven’t read a lot of fantasy books set in prehistoric Europe. The characters are all well written and I loved being back with Wolf. Some of the character decisions were a little frustrating but mainly it was just a great nostalgic read. I also love that they brought back the person that did the cover designs for the original series, so the books all still match.
Overall I really enjoyed this latest instalment and I would definitely recommend checking this series out. It is such a great series and I don’t see it mentioned in the bookish community a lot. Have you guys read these books? I’d love to know what you thought. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.
