To Be Read Book Tag

Hi guys, I thought I would share a tag with you all today as I haven’t done one in a while. This one is all about your tbr, hence the name :). I have to admit I’m not very good at keeping track of my TBR. I’ve toyed with the idea of separating my TBR books from my read ones, but I can’t quite make myself do it. Anyway onto the questions.

How do you keep track of your TBR pile.
To be honest I don’t really. I just kind of look at my bookshelves and keep track through checking unread books that way. I do also have a tbr shelf on goodreads, but that also has books I want to read and don’t own yet. Basically I don’t really…

Is your TBR mostly print or ebooks?
Definitely print books. I am very much a fan of physical book over ebooks but I do love ebooks when I’m away from my physical books and don’t want to carry them away. I remember going on holiday and my bag would be full of books to read – now it is so much easier with my kindle.

A book that’s been on your TBR list the longest.
This one has to go to Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens, although The Wake by Paul Kingsnorth has been on my tbr for quite a while now. I find both of these books quite intimidating so I just haven’t gotten around to them yet. Hopefully I’ll have read at least one of them by the end of the year.

A book you recently added to your TBR.
A recent addition to my TBR is The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. I recently read The Woman in White by the same author and really enjoyed it, so I want to read more of his books. I’ve heard great things about The Moonstone so I’m excited to try it out.

A book in your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
I don’t have an answer for this, as I’m never interested in a book just because of it’s cover.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading.
Again I don’t have an answer for this as I plan to read all the books on my TBR eventually.

An unpublished book on your TBR that you are excited for.
There are quite a few I could choose from but I think I am going to go with The Book of Dust by Philip Pullman. This book has been in the making for quite some time and I am so excited that it is being published this year. It is set 10 years before Northern Lights and Lyra is back – I adore His Dark Materials so of course I need this book in my life.

A book on your TBR that basically everyone’s read except for you.
I don’t really know about this one. Maybe Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor… it’s pretty popular since it’s release but I haven’t read it yet. I think I’ll wait until it comes out in paperback.

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
I’m not really sure about this one but a few people recommended the Shardlake series by C. J. Sansom to me and I really enjoyed the first book. I currently have the second book on my tbr. Other than that I can’t think of any.

A book on your TBR that you’re dying to read.
There are so many books to choose from… I’m excited to read all of the books on my TBR. That’s why I’ve added them :). A few books I want to read soon are A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, Certainty by Madeleine Thien and Dragon Haven by Robin Hobb.

How many books are on your Goodreads TBR shelf
Currently there are 114 books on my TBR shelf on Goodreads… wish me luck :).

Maybe this post will motivate me to organise my TBR a bit more. I’m alright at keeping my Goodreads TBR shelf updated but other than that I’m not very organised. I might trial a TBR shelf to see how that works out… How do you guys organise your TBR books? I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.

  1. I can’t wait for the Book of Dust, I loved this series so much when I was younger! I’m also very unorganised with my TBR – all of the many unread books I own are loosely on it, but I just read what I feel like unless it’s a book club read/arc.
