  • “Lately, I feel like my life is a book written in a language I don’t know how to read.” Hero of Ages,  Brandon Sanderson – third and final book in the Mistborn trilogy
  • “Quit being so hard on yourself. We are what we are; we love what we love. We don’t need to justify it to anyone… not even to ourselves.” Republic of Thieves, Scott Lynch
  • “Knowledge is dangerous. Once you know something, you can’t get rid of it. You have to carry it. Always.” Bone Season, Samantha Shannon – book 1
  • “A wise parent humours the desire for independent action, so as to become the friend and advisor when his absolute rule shall cease.” North and South, Elizabeth Gaskell
  • “Home isn’t where you’re from, it’s where you find light when all grows dark” Golden Son, Pierce Brown – Book 2
  • “Light blooms the brighter in the darkest places” The Gift, Alison Croggon
